The loan is not to be paid back till I am out of school.Will the fact that I have this loan show up on my credit score now, or just when the loan is being repayed? Will this improve my score or mess it up since the payments are deferred?

The deferment will not hurt your credit. There will be no payment history.... I assume your accounts on your credit report are all fairly new...
This should have little to no effect on your credit report.
