Student help to pay for attending beauty schools in louisiana???

It depends if your school is approved to participate in federal financial aid. Check with them. Some beauty schools in LA are approved.

Credit Card ? I'm needing to get dental work done fast.,I've wayed out all other options .

The only dental school I can go to in Louisiana is booked for two months and then they tell me after the 2 months your 2nd visit could be 3 months after that,so that%26#039;s not even an option at this point.Next,I have a decent dental plan that will help with the high cost a little bit. But!! I%26#039;m still looking at paying at least 2,500-3,000$ with the dental plan.I%26#039;m in school not very much moo-lah at all.My dad is willing to cosign for me for whatever. So I looked into care credit but the dentist that accepts the plan they don%26#039;t accept care credit or vice versa.I need the work done bad and fast.So I%26#039;m willing to just pay for it .I need a decent regular loan or credit card maybe to pay for this.Either one will help.Do you guys have any suggestions or know of any loans or particular cards I may be eligible for and if so I%26#039;d prefer not to involve my dad,but he%26#039;s willing to co sign.Sorry so long and remember...I KNOW ABOUT DENTAL SCHOOLS,NOT AN OPTION AND I know about Care credit. Thanks

Credit Card ? I%26#039;m needing to get dental work done fast.,I%26#039;ve wayed out all other options ..dental schools, etc.

First off you need to know how much you can afford on a monthly basis. If you have 200 a month to put toward paying this off than that is one thing, a credit card could work fine. Can you upgrade your dental coverage at work? Have you searched for dentists that have in house financing options? Aside from traditional credit cards check the peer to peer lending sights like Prosper.com. Whatever you end up doing it is a good idea to start up a savings account with automatic saving so when unexpected expense occur you are ready for them. Good luck

If possible go to a non-prophet clinic because they get grants for low income people who cannot afford dental care. If you are eligible then you would only have to pay a flat rate of about $45 a visit (regardless of the procedure). You may have to wait awhile like the school you were talking about but if you cannot afford dental care, then the lower rates will outweigh the wait. But if you are impatient then you will have to pay for it...a simple alloy filling cost anywhere from $75-$175.

Based upon others judgement will not get the wise decision.However,other%26#039;s suggestion might be helpful. Here is a good resource for the question.http://creditcard.expertips.info/card-co...

Help getting my friend in college...?

this is the situation:

she just moved senior year about an hour away and her new school doesnt have the resources to help her. the counselors dont know her as well and arent able to help. her family is half the problem. and im leaving the state for school so we cant go to school somewhere close and room together ( i already checked out the jc%26#039;s where i was going to school).

really do you know of any jc%26#039;s, colleges, or universities that have special circumstance admissions because to pay for school she%26#039;ll have to work and take out loans(im trying to make sure this doesnt happen because loans are the devil, my brother is in super debt) or try and get an athletic scholarship for track to supplement whatever scholarships we can get for her. average grades. no sat or act (parents wont pay). no fafsa (parents took to long to get pin so deadline passed). great work ethic. any advice is welcome.

Help getting my friend in college...?

only thing for her, is to look for JC in her local area. It is rare for any JC to turn down an incoming freshmen. It is just too bad, she waited until now to deal with the issue. maybe she should wait until the following spring to enroll in a college, while she contends to whatever her issue maybe.

Grant money and scholarships help please!!?

For financial aid:

www.fafsa.ed.gov/

Don%26#039;t use any of the fafsa or %26quot;free student aid%26quot; sites with the %26quot;.com%26quot; domain suffix. Most charge to do what you can and are expected to do for free at Fasfa.ed.gov.

Look at:

www.scholarships.com

www.fastweb.com

Report any fraud regarding student financial aid to either your state or federal department of education. If it%26#039;s federal money being used, it%26#039;s most likely a felony.

Getting grants is relatively easy as long as you qualify. Fill out the FASFA at FASFA.ed.gov.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

If I go to my first choice school I would have to get a $7,000 loan. I really want to go to this school. The other school is my 4th choice school, and if i were to go there i would have to get a $5,513 loan. I dont really want to go to this school. It doesnt even have my major. What should i do?

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

Considering college costs 50,000.00 (yes, fifty thousand dollars) at some universities, a 1500.00 difference in loans doesn%26#039;t seem like much.

Further, you already know you want to major in a given subject, why would you throw your desires out the window for such a small amount of money?

Your heart already knows what to do, your question already says so. Go to your first choice school.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

sounds like you already made your decision....it%26#039;s you first choice school and it%26#039;s only an extra 1500 AND you don%26#039;t even really want to go to that other school!!!

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

You pretty much answered your own question! If you don%26#039;t want to go there really, and they don%26#039;t have your major to boot... why would you even consider it? College is expensive. And, in the long run, that extra $1500 or so won%26#039;t seem like much. You%26#039;ll be paying off school loans forever one way or another, anyway! Go to the school you really want and that offers the major you%26#039;re interested in.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

Go to your first choice! Paying back $7,000 is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. You could be in my position: I just graduated from law school with around $90,000 in debt from undergrad and law school. So in comparison, $7,000 is nothing.

Go to your first choice. You won%26#039;t regret it.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

You answered your own question, got to the one that has your major. If they both had your major then I would say go by what the two schools have to offer and go to that one. Good luck.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

That little difference in money is not much in comparison to what the quality of each school is. Also you will have to be able to live and deal with what school you pick. Consider the fact that with a college degree that the $8,000 difference is not that much compared to the minimum $20,000 over four years and that your loans are extended for a long time after you graduate. So i would go with your number 1 choice.

Would you go to a college that you would have to get a $7,000 loan or the college w/ a 5,000 loan?

Go to the $7K school, but knock out as many pre-reqs for your major at a community college first if you want to save some money.

Parent Plus Loan?

I know that they state that the Parent Plus Loan repayment starts immediately, but i wonderly can a Parent Plus Loan be paid after the child graduate from school.

Parent Plus Loan?

In my case, which did not have any special circumstances, my parents could not wait until I graduated to make payments, however they were able to get the loan deferred for a year. Talk to your lender and they should be able to help you. Hope this helps.

Parent Plus Loan?

you can request deferring payment, but interest will still accrue.

How can the massive interest on my student loan be forgiven?

March 22nd ,2008

I am a USAF Vietnam Veteran. I went to school to improve my life. Ironicaly this student loan has made it worse and it is an impending doom lurking over my head.

There are thousands of veterans in this same situation who could be easily helped. IS there anyone out there who can help us?

How can the massive interest on my student loan be forgiven?

Have you considered joining Peace Corps or Americorps? Both will forgive part of your student loans for so many hours of community service served in a calendar year. Also, if you work as a teacher in some areas or become a civillian government worker, you could receive student loan forgiveness. I will include some readings below which should help.
